Surveying the Service Project

Venture Advisor Leader Larry Schmahl (Los Angeles Area Council), with his assistant Leonard, spent a day to carefully survey and stake out both sets of stairs for the Service Project, and the Unit campsites.  Mr. Schmahl’s crew F201 was the first  group out to start building the stairs on Saturday.  Thanks Mr. Schmahl! 

HAM Radio!

The Ham Radio booth had a lot of Scouts come and check it out yesterday. They saw about 150 Scouts. There were a lot of contacts made. Some of those contacts were in Utah, Washington, Florida, Bakersfield CA, San Diego CA and La Habra CA.

There was a lot of interest in the Radio Merit Badge, hopefully the Scout will do there homework and complete the Badge at the Jamboree!
